Futurecom to begin manufacturing and developing roadmap for siren & lights module

We are pleased to announce that Futurecom Systems has taken over the production, support and ongoing development of the Siren and Lights Interface Module (SLIM) sold worldwide exclusively by Motorola Solutions, a leading provider of mission-critical communication solutions and services for public safety and commercial customers. 

The SLIM module is a small device that interfaces between third party sirens and the Motorola Solutions APX mobile two-way radios.  Using SLIM, first responders can control their vehicle's lights, sirens and public address through their APX mobile radios.  The use of SLIM allows for a cleaner and safer vehicle cockpit as well as a faster and more cost effective installation with only one cable between the mobile control head and trunk. 

SLIM will be shipping from the Futurecom facility in the 2017 fourth quarter and will be sold exclusively through Motorola Solutions worldwide.  Futurecom showcased the SLIM at the APCO International Conference in Denver, Colorado last week.
