President & CEO
Paul is responsible for the expansion of Futurecom’s business and overseeing the complete operation of the business.
Prior to joining Futurecom in March of 2014, Paul was Senior Manager of Research and Development Tax Practice with Deloitte. Paul’s clients ranged from large telecommunications service and equipment providers to entrepreneurial start ups.
Before Deloitte, Paul spent 20 years with Motorola Canada in various senior engineering management roles. Paul managed a design centre of 150 engineers that was responsible for system design, software product and software component development, and testing for Motorola’s ASTRO 25 communications system infrastructure. Paul coordinated software development across six design centres in four countries.
Paul earned his Bachelor's of Science in engineering physics from Queen’s University.
Senior Director - Product Engineering
Dave is responsible for overseeing Futurecom’s Product Engineering Teams. In this role Dave is responsible for new product introduction including working with Customers, Business and Product development to quantify and deliver innovative solutions to expand Futurecom’s footprint in the public safety incident management marketplace.
Prior to joining Futurecom in July 2015, Dave was principal consultant and owner of Solutions Leadership Inc. for 6 years. In this role Dave led a number of organizational change projects, including the definition, development and deployment of a national Network Configuration Management Database and process for one of Canada’s Largest Wireless Carriers. The end result being a tool and process which captured the the design and AS-Built of LTE, HSPA and xWDM infrastructures. Previously Dave spent over 20 impactful years in various Product and Management roles including Manufacturing, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering and Product Definition at Motorola in Canada, U.S.A. and U.K.
Dave is a member of the PEO and holds a Bachelor of Engineering Degree from Ryerson University.
Frank Tullio - (CPA, CGA)
Director - Finance
Frank is responsible for overseeing all aspects of Futurecom’s financial functions and operations.
Frank graduated from York University with a Bachelor of Business Administration, majoring in Accounting and is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA).
Prior to joining Futurecom, Frank has over 20 years accounting experience in manufacturing with public and private organizations, with the majority of his career at Magna International Inc, a global automotive supplier. Frank is experienced in financial leadership, financial reporting, business planning, financial analysis, financial process improvements and internal controls, treasury and staff development.
Peter Burnside (P.Eng.)
Senior Account Manager
Peter Burnside has been involved with radio communications since graduating with a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Western Ontario. Peter has worked in systems engineering, software design, and product marketing for Motorola Canada and MDSI. For the past fifteen years, Peter has been focusing on the use of mobile repeaters to enhance emergency radio communications. Peter has helped over 500 police and fire departments across North America successfully deploy this technology.
Mayada Almeida leads the finance department for Futurecom, producing all financial statements and reports for Futurecom Management and McWane corporate. She is also responsible for all HR activities.
Mayada graduated from Conestoga College in Kitchener, Ontario with a diploma in Business Administration – Accounting.
Mayada has accumulated over 21 years of experience in the accounting field, in a variety of positions for a Top 5 Accounting firm and public accounting practices. She also had her own bookkeeping company for over 17 years.
Mayada has been a contributing member of the Futurecom team since 2008.
Manager - Marketing
Mark Townson joined Futurecom in 2007 as a Sales Account Manager. In 2012 Mark was named the Manager - Marketing. Prior to joining Futurecom Mark worked for Kaval Wireless Technologies and Powerwave Technologies in various sales and marketing roles focusing on public safety distributed antenna systems.
Mark oversees all aspects of Futurecom’s marketing efforts, including branding, public relations and partner relationships.
Mark is a graduate of Seneca College.
